Besides Invisalign, there are other clear aligner systems. They work in a similar way: a series of clear, removable trays that move your teeth gradually.
Why more than one option
Systems differ in how they are designed, how many aligners you wear and how treatment is monitored. Your teeth, your bite and your goals determine which approach, if any, is best for you. We assess your case and explain what is suitable, rather than steering everyone to one product.
What to expect
- An exam, x-rays and scans or impressions
- A plan that shows the expected movement and estimated treatment time
- Aligners changed on a regular schedule, with check-ups along the way
- Retainers after treatment to hold the result
Good to know
- Results depend on wearing them as directed, about 20 to 22 hours a day
- Gum disease and cavities need to be treated first
- Some cases are better treated with braces, and we will tell you if that is the case
