Dentures replace missing teeth with a removable set that restores your ability to chew and speak, and supports your face and smile.
Types
- Complete dentures replace all the teeth in an upper or lower arch
- Partial dentures fill gaps and attach to your remaining teeth
- Implant-supported dentures snap onto implants for a more secure fit (ask us about this option)
What to expect
- Impressions and measurements are taken
- A try-in lets you and us check the fit, bite and appearance before the final denture is made
- The final denture is fitted and adjusted
Expect an adjustment period. Eating, speaking and sore spots take time to settle, and follow-up adjustments are a normal part of getting dentures.
Caring for your dentures
- Remove and clean them every day with a denture brush and a non-abrasive cleaner (regular toothpaste can scratch them)
- Take them out at night and keep them in water or a denture solution
- Clean your gums and any remaining teeth
- See us regularly, as dentures need relines or replacement as your mouth changes over time
