Boil-and-bite guards from a store can be bulky and loose. A guard made from an impression or scan of your teeth is more comfortable, so it is more likely to be worn, and it stays in place and protects better.
Good to know
- Children's mouths change as teeth come in, so guards may need replacing sooner
- Rinse after use, clean with a brush and mild soap, and store it in a ventilated case away from heat
