Emergency Dentistry

Call for urgent appointment availability for pain, swelling or dental injuries.

A dental emergency does not wait for a convenient time. If you have severe pain, swelling or an injury to your teeth or mouth, call us as soon as possible. We accept emergency patients and will do our best to see you quickly.

What counts as urgent

  • Severe, constant toothache
  • A knocked-out, loosened or broken tooth
  • Swelling of the face, gums or jaw
  • A dental infection or abscess
  • Bleeding that will not stop after an injury or extraction
  • A lost crown or filling with pain, or a broken denture

What to do right now

  • Call us and tell us what happened. We will advise you and book the earliest available time
  • Knocked-out tooth: hold it by the crown, rinse gently, try to put it back in place or keep it in milk, and come in right away
  • Swelling: use a cold pack on the outside of the cheek
  • Pain: take over-the-counter pain relief as directed on the label

Go to the emergency room or call 911 if

  • Swelling is spreading or affects your breathing or swallowing
  • You have a fever with a swollen face
  • You have a serious injury to the head, face or jaw
