Thus, these fruits are best eaten in smaller quantities to prevent dental issues. Additionally, fruits such as grapefruit, lime, and lemon are highly acidic in nature. Use a straw whilst drinking their juices for the acid to bypass your teeth.
5) Crackers
Crackers also come on the list of foods to avoid for dental issues. They are refined carbohydrates and various studies highlight that consuming high refined carbohydrates result in body inflammation. Chronic dental issues such as gingivitis and periodontitis arise due to such inflammation.
6) Sports Beverages
Dental care experts suggest avoiding sweet and viscous sports beverages that are high on carbohydrates. They are highly acidic and the thick liquid sticks to your teeth for a longer period of time. Water is the best option to refuel your energy in between workout sessions.
